I'm so excited to share! I was invited to be on TLC's Ultimate Cake Off along with a local decorator who owns a cake shop and two of her friends!!! I was one of her assistants. Our team competed against two other teams. We just finished taping.

We are under contract not to reveal the theme,the competitors or the out come until the show airs. And at this time, I don't know when that will be. Season two of Ultimate Cake Off starts soon so all I know is that will be aired later this year. We got to meet the new host, both judges and even talked to a couple other famous big named decorators at our hotel who finished taping right before us. What a week!

This was by far THE hardest thing I've ever done relating to cake decorating and by far THE most fun! Through many, many hours of planning, preparing, baking, a trail run, more planning, more preparing, some ( ok, lots of) tears and frustration, making time lines, packing everything to take with us plus they threw us a huge curve ball that made us change a big element of our design only two days before taping, and finally getting to create our cake in 8 hours, with cameras in our faces and finishing, it was AWESOME! We only did one partical practice run before we left so we'd never seen our entire cake complete until the day we did it on the show. I cried with pure pride and relief. It was amazing!

I was so very honored to be a part of this! I mean seriously...me ....from Arizona on TV...competing with the BIG BOYS!!!?!?!? REALLY?? ? This is so surreal. If you've ever watched the show on tv, you know how huge and how elaborate the cakes are. It was HARD! Since the show is only one hour long, obviously they'll be editing the 8 hours of taping down so much. But believe me, there was SO much going on at the same time.

Anyway, when I find out when it will air, I will share that too.

I just saw an Ultimate Cake Off Season 2 promo during Cake Boss tonight. There is a new host, George Duran. He's a chef who has hosted a couple of Food Network shows called "Ham on the Street" and "The Secret Life of ..."

UCO S2 Premieres on February 1 on TLC. I know I'll be watching!
