Help: Using A Paper Towel To Smooth Or Leave Design On Cakes

Can someone please tell me step by step how to use a paper towel to smooth or leave a design on a cake...i've tried, but cant seem to quite figure it out! thanks in advance for your help!!

It should be Viva brand paper towels. I simply put the towel on the cake and with light pressure smooth it with either my fondant smoother or my hand. The buttercream should be crusted as well. Using a piece of computer paper does the trick too. Good luck.

again just light pressure is all it takes...i will add also that viva or bounty brands are the only ones you really want to use. most other brands are not lint free, therefore will leave the paper fibers on your cake. HTH
