I made three batches of rummf two days ago and the pink lost most of its color and today I layed a cake with a lavender/pink color rummf and after I was done with the scroll work the top of the cake had faded under my florescent light to a light pink.....what in the world happened? Anybody else have this happen and anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

What is rummf? I know what mmf is but I can't figure out the ru right now...my brain shuts down by this time of night.

Anyhow, pink and red like to fade. Sometimes they do it worse than other times. Sometimes the purple will fade out of black, and then your black fondant will be green instead.

When you paint with red or pink on top of fondant, that won't fade. Also, I've noticed that Wilton's Rose pink doesn't fade much and neither does Americolor's super red.

Do you think it's Rhonda's Ultimate mmf.
