Hello
im going to make a cake for my sisters birthday, just a basic sponge cake, we have a 9" square tin which is will use.
is it possible to bake the cake in there and then cut it thru the middle?
or would you not recommend it and just bake the 1st layer then bake another layer?

Hi, you can bake the whole cake in one go and then torte it once or twice. I have an Agbay to torte cakes. If you don't have one, here is a great way to do it,
