What do I use to cover a cake board like this:

Is it fondant? Whenever I use fondant it always gets all nasty and sticky under the cake.

Hi there, I use to cover the whole board few days ahead, but I have stoped doing that. Now I use the bandage method. Here is a great tutorial,

You can always put a cake board between the cake layer and the fondant board.
