Hi! I am wanting to make a baby shower cake based on this baby quilt I've seen that has little planes flying around as the stitch pattern. I've seen forums on how to make the diamond pattern, but is there a good way to do a freehand quilting pattern? Thanks so much![/img]

I'd probably run a playdough tool around for the stitches.

draw pattern on very thin paper.

wrap around cake

trace tool at farthest right in 7yyrt's post or with a tooth pick pushing just hard enough to lightly transfer pattern into the fondant.

remove paper and retrace with the tracing wheel to deepen the pattern.
