It's a shame about that ugly topper ruining the look of your pretty cake.
I think the bride normally picks out the topper right? How could we honestly go against their wishes? It's their day, how could we say it will look ugly on their cake. I think in this case it was just the wrong choice for the theme. Your cake turned out really good don't let this discourage you. I still haven't accomplished making a wedding cake, it's something to be proud of. 
Its a beautiful cake and I see nothing wrong with the topper, if thats what they wanted. You did an amazing job! Good for you! Congrats

Your cake is beautiful. You can really be proud of your work. I've heard that those snowflakes are really hard to get out of the mold. You obviously overcame that hurdle.
I guess my taste is all in my mouth... I don't see anything wrong with the topper.
