I just made the recipe and then noticed 1/2 c Crisco listed as an ingredient. It never tells you to add it to the fondant. I'm assuming she has guessed at the amount you will use to grease the bowl and your hands? I'm hoping that's the case, or I'm in trouble!
Yes, I think it's just an amount to leave out to use when you knead the fondant later. I've made it before and didn't add it into the fondant and it turned out well, so that's what I figure it means...hth
