I have read ... quite a few times ... that a lot of decorators are not happy with their buttercream recipes and I would just like to share the one that I use. The only thing I do differently is that I cut back a little on the sugar to 2.5 cups. (maybe less) I too don't care for the one from Wilton. Hope this is helpful to you guys.
3 cups confectioner's sugar
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 to 2 tablespoons whipping cream
