When I melt my chocolate or candy melts, I add "paramount crystals" to thin out the chocolate to make dipping easier, well my cake store isn't open yet and I was wondering , " Can I add shortning to the chocolate to thin it? Will it still get hard? How much per pound of chocolate?

Thnak you

Yes. When I make chocolate dipped strawberries I start with one tsp of shortening (Crisco) per pound and go from there. If you add too much it won't get hard.
