I've put so much coloring in my fondant, now its sticky, any ideas how to get back to right consistency before I start rolling and covering?

What I normally do when it gets sticky is knead a little confection sugar into it but not too much or it will be dry. Hope this helps.

i just answered this on the thread about coloring fondant red.. anytime i color fondant or g/p.. whether it is a large amt. or small amt. using red. black or any dk. colors.. i squirt alot.. start working it in. gets sticky.. i lay it down.. wash my hands real good. dry them real good . and reapply shortening. i do this several times during the process. it works great. i never add anymore powder sugar.. don,t want neither medium to get too dry.. so then after acheiving my color.. i knead it good. wrap in saran wrap and put in freezer bag. and set in frig .. for a while or over nite. then use it. it works great for me. that is when i roll out on litely dusted with powder sugar mat.. or litely coated with shortening mat. works great for me. hth
