that when you aren't busy you become lackadasical? it just seems that we do our best cakes under pressure... you decide.
so, must of you know me and my hubbie do this together. we have one cake this weekend the infamous baby blanket cake (strawberry lemonade cake) let me count the ways that disater struck and kept on striking!
-baked caked:
burnt the first batch (convection oven still getting used to...)
-finally got a head and a tush that was decent
-make my filling- refrigerate
-get it all prepped for DH to come in and work his magic.
-I come out and see the cake covered with the hat...looks cute...and I see
no evidence of the filling bowls
-yep he didn't fill it...so there it is our one lonely cake that has taken us longer than it ever should.
- I needless to say we corrected and filled and its on it way to the recovery room!
just think its funny the silly mistakes we make when we aren't really being busy or challeneged. Has this happened to you?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Last week, I had no orders...I was lost...caught myself roaming in circles around the area...This week one order...could've been done in short time, dragged it out for daaaaaaaaaaaaays...no troubles with it but I can definitely see how they could creep in though!
oh good...i am glad to know we aren't alone!

I just realized that I switched the flavors of my cake. Purse was supposed to be red velvet, box was supposed to be Irish Cream. I don't think she'll care but it's annoying to make stupid mistakes!
