Hi All,

i have earlenes diamond impression mat and have no idea how to use it on the sides of a round cake with crusting buttercream.
please can anyone guide me how to go about it.

Sugarshack's buttercream DVD talks about this in detail.

Once your cake is crusted, you take your mat and lay it on the side of your cake, pressing along the center and out towards the edges. You need to be careful not to go all the way to the edge or you'll get a line where the edge of the mat is. Then you carefully pull it away.

Move it over to your next section, line up the pattern perfectly and then press again. It's very easy. The Christmas package cake in my photos was done with the diamond impression mat.
