Hi guys,
a bride e-mailed me this picture, she said the capture said it was coconut, however it doesn't seem to be the regular shreded coconut (coconut flakes?)but maybe I'm wrong. Can similar effect be achieved with shaved white chocolate? TIA

I wonder if they shaved the coconut themselves from the shell?!???!?!? I think it could be done with chocolate easily. Would take a lot of work but it could be done. Didn't someone do that once on a cake challenge show?!?!?

I've seen coconut flakes that large at my grocery store. It was next to all the dried fruit and nuts inthe produce section. Let me see if I can find what I'm talking about brb.

here are a few sites that have them, they are called "coconut chips" because of their size.

wendyintx, I thought it may be fresh shreded coconut but I wasn't sure...
what would be the best way to shave chocolate? Can I use one of my KA attachment to shred the chocolate like that?
