Whatever you were thinking you would need, double it. I use a double batch of bc for 1 dozen cupcakes (about 6 cups total). I was amazed the first time I iced cuppies with the swirl tops-that's alot of icing!

I usually use just about 1 batch or 3 cups, so making a double batch would be prudent . . . As always, YMMV! icon_biggrin.gif

I use indydebis crusting recipe and one recipe will do that much but just for safety's sake as the other poster suggested you could do a double batch and save the leftovers because it keeps for a good long while.

Her recipe takes 2lbs of PS so it's a really good amount and I really do think one recipe will be enough but better to be sure.

Just last week I made a double batch, iced 60 cupcakes and had some left over. They weren't over frosted but had a really good amount you can check my photos and see the CC tree. There are a 120 CCs there and I did 4 recipes of frosting (2 choc recipes and 2 Lemon buttercream recipes)
