Need Help...with Sugar Cookie Icing

need help in choosing what icing to use for my sugar cookies.
i used the vanilla and confec sugar, and everyone loves them ..
but these cookies are for a fundraiser. and i need them to look and taste good.
never used royal icing..
any tips would be great ... thanks again

you could use almond in stead of vanilla, it's delicious.

I recently tried flavoring my cookie icing with the Lorrann raspberry flavoring. It tasted wonderful! I've also used her orange oil and it worked great. Not overpowering..just enough that you got a taste of orange.

Antonia74's royal icing recipe (here in the recipe section) is great. It's the only icing I use for my cookies.

I know a lot of "cookiers" use a glace recipe and rave about it...
