Pls Help!! Edible Image Question.

I've never used an edible image before. I'm making a gumpaste tv as a part of my cake. The screen is going to be an edible image. My question is can I do this a week in advance or will the edible image disintegrate? I'm planning to apply it to a gumpaste panel. Thank you.
I apply my EI's to the gumpaste while it's still soft. Then, I let the whole thing dry for several days on a piece of foam sponge, in a dark place.
I believe that allowing the piece to dry on the foam keeps it from wrinkling or shrinking unevenly. And keeping it in the dark prevents fading.
I've used ei on cookies with royal icing and they were bagged individually and stayed nice for several days before they were eaten up. I would think it would be fine as long as you wrapped it, or covered it in some way.
There ya go! Two people, two opinions.
Indeed. I'm sure there are more opinions coming.
How anyone gets anything done is a mystery to me.
