For those of you who put your MMF on cookies while they're still warm . . . I wanted to try this today, but was wondering - how warm are we talking? Right after they come out of the oven? 5 minutes after?

I do hate having to use corn syrup or piping gel to apply it and would like to eliminate this step.

I put mine on as soon as I pull them out of the oven.

I loosen them from the baking sheet but leave them on the sheet, then put the fondant on right away. You can cut out the fondant shapes a little ahead of time, they dry enough to keep from stretching when you pick them up but will soften again on the cookie. I usually cut all the fondant shapes out before I put the cookies in the oven.
