This year will be my first year cooking a turkey.. Can you guys give me some tips please? Thanks Bunches!

I always do an herb rub, rub it all over the skin and stick some herbs in the cavity. If you want a good flavor on the skin, pour about a stick of melted butter all over the outside before you cook it. I put it in a roasting pan with a tent of aluminum foil on it, start the oven at 425 then lower it to 375 after 20 minutes. You really don't need to baste a turkey, either. Just put it in the oven and leave it alone.

You can get some good tips at the butterball website, and they have an emergency line for cooking questions that's open tomorrow, too!
