I'm making an LSU cake and need dark purple fondant. I have americolor gels, there is a violet color but it is not making the fondant the right color of purple? Do I add blue/black?? Don't want to ruin this batch because I'm way too lazy to make another!

Hmmm.... getting dark purple is hard. The last time I wanted dark purple I think I ended up adding pink because I wasn't happy with the purple I was getting. Not exactly sure what shade of purple you are going for but probably if its a bluer purple then adding blue might be the right thing to do. Color is so subjective its hard to give good suggestions.
