ive seen many cakes that have fondant numbers on the cake. they are so pretty. they looked like they are either hand rolled or put through an extruder.
my question is-how do you get them to attach to a cake?
i would love to try this for my daughters cake next week. but cant understand how you would attach them to the cake.
TIA

I haven't done these yet either but I have been looking at tips on it b/c I am doing some on a cake this weekend. The tip that I read and am going to go by states that you should roll your fondant in your hands and shape it the way you want it to look. Let it dry for a bit and then place toothpicks into the bottom of the numbers and let the fondant dry completely. Then you can just stick it in the cake when it's dry. I will be trying this for the first time too so I hope it works. Good luck!

I use toothpicks also, fondant takes forever to dry so I would use gumpaste or fondant with tyclose. That works the best.
