I want to stencil black on white fondant and I am not sure what would be the best and easiest to use. I have never tried this before but I have heard of others using RI and others using lustre dust or should I paint it in using vodka and black color?

I am worried about the color bleeding out or smudging when I attamp to take the stencil off. Thanks to everyone who reply's back. icon_smile.gif

The best way is using a royal icing that is rather thick in consistancy so you dont get any bleeding. You also get one chance to do it since black will make your white have shadows if you wipe it off. Use very little icing and take an offset spatula and swipe it from one side to the other. (You can use pins to hold the stencil in place). Then use a clean putty knife or bowl scraper and pull the extra icing off. Then carefully lift the stencil.
You can also airbrush or use a dust color to do this but the most dramatic is the icing.
