I am a home baker, I need a way to store all my cake boxes. Right now they are all stacked on top of each other which is such a pain when I need the size at the bottom! The gal at our local Cake Shop has a neat set-up, but I haven't found anyone to make it for me. Would love to see some other ideas. Thanks ladies!

I have a them all laying flat on a folding table in the back room. i covered them with a cloth to keep the dust off. Do i like this..no way! Like you mention it's a pain everytime i want to find a certain size of box. They all look the same when they are unmade. I hope someone has a helpful hint on this too.

How many boxes do you need to store? Maybe a print/poster rack?

Uline carries a stand made just for stacking boxes on their end. It's called "Wire Carton Stands." Look for them on uline.com They aren't cheap though! At least maybe the design might be helpful, if you want to try and build one.

Ha, ya I'm having trouble finding a cheaper alternative! Maybe an artist's portable portfolio case? Hang that on a wall?

I store them flat between my sofa and the wall. 12X12X6 on one side and 19X14X4 on the other side.

I use this stand:

I wish I had bought the two tier instead of just the single tier, but oh well.

I totally understand what you are talking about. Mine too were behind sofa or in closet but always falling apart. I got inspired by this photo, this is actually pizza boxes stacked on top of each other to hold my kids drawing in the their playroom. My husband made me this version in MDF wood. It was simple to make as a DIY project. Now my boxes are out of my way. The only thing is you need a place to store this wooden box.

AWow I never even thought to put something together like this.. I've just been leaving them in a pile in the 'cake closet' haha That one from Uline is neat, but expensive, definitely going to work on making my own now. :)
