I'm frustrated by the cost of these things for packaging my cookies! My local cake supply store is expensive, and I bought some platters with lids from Sam's - they were still pricey, and the lids wouldn't stay on!

Where do you get your supplies for packaging up your cookies?

We have a "Party Store" that has platters, bags, you name it. And of course dollar stores if I hit them at the right time. I never buy these things at cake decorating supply stores locally, the mark up is just too high. JMO.

Sams will sell you anything they use in their bakery as well. Just ask at the bakery counter. Even if you dont see an item, ask if they have it in their supply book. Sometimes they give me good deals on boxes etc. but you have to buy them in pkg bulk. (I even get my half sheet baking pans at Sams.)

If you want to order online, brpboxshop.com has a good selection and shipping is free. For trays I really like the ones I bought from mrtakeoutbags.com. They have good prices on bakery boxes too and shipping was quick for both of them (less than a week).
