I use the wilton buttercream recipe, but i feel like it's to sweet. Any suggestions to make it not so sweet? Thanks ahead of time.

Use a different recipe. I use Indydebi's and everyone loves it (but I don't use 2TBL flavoring - I use 1 to 1-1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp butter flavor, 1/2 tsp almond flavor). It's a crusting buttercream so you can use it just like the Wilton recipe.

Good luck!

Although I don't like Wilton's BC and I use Indydebi's also you can always put a little salt in the BC to cut the sweetness.

If you add salt - use a pinch of popcorn salt for each recipe (1 lb. powd sugar). Popcorn salt is finer and will disperse through the icing better. Indydebi's recipe doesn't need salt, though.
