I agree Crownsj with your post, but it was like she said she hadn't got her glasses almost as an afterthought, after she had said "I suppose it will be ok" when we had conversations about the candles and so on.

It's a great looking cake (taking a mental note because my sister is a hairstylist) 
Don't let the client get you down, she just didn't give you any details and what you did was great. I'd let customers put their own candles on from now on too though
If I wasn't wearing my glasses, I couldn't find the cake, let alone see what was on it. Clever concept, clever execution. Great cake. I'm sure the birthday girl was thrilled!
There are people who will complain no matter what the cake looks like, because they are always looking for free stuff. This cake is very nice and very creative and clever - and fun! I don't own a business but from what I have read here on CC is to prevent misunderstandings for the future, to use contracts (maybe with a sketch).
I really like the cake and, like so many others have already said, it is very clever how you used the different items. Love the hairspray! You did a great job!
