I want to try a topsy turvy cake soon, and I want to try the technique with the foam plates to make the topsy turvy affect.

My question is does anyone know where I can find these foam plates?? I dont want to spend a whole lot of money especailly since this will be a practice cake icon_smile.gif

TIA

I'm wondering too. I always thought the wedge was made by cutting a cake dummy, but I'm not sure of that.

I used styrofoam circles bought at discount store in the floral deparment. Use two 6" circles for each wedge. Glued two 6 inch circle together - make sure to use glue for sytrofoam - Gorilla glue worked great. Then take a stiff straight sharp knife and cut the angle you want. Most of the angle will come off the top circle. I then covered in fondant and put cardboard between cake and sytrofoam.
