I would like to make it cream cheese flavored. Do I add cream cheese to full recipe or do I sub out an equal amt of shortening? I don't want it to be real soft like a regular cream cheese icing. Thanks for your help.
Can't help you with your original question as I don't use Sugarshack's recipe. However, I can give you a tried and true recipe from Earlene (she's been doing cakes for a looong time and her website is loaded with great stuff.) It's amazing. The only note I have is her mention of butavan... not necessary to the recipe. I just sub out my usual flavors for that particular one as it is a butter/vanilla combo.
