Hi all!! I want to make some hard candy clear jewels. Is isomalt what I use? or sugar? Thanks guys

I use jolly ranchers, Works great. unless you want clear, then use isomelt.

Isomalt, makes beautiful clear sugar pieces.

isomalt will give you clear jewels, where as sugar changes colors easy...it might turn out clear but most likely it will have a yellow or brown tint.

what are you using to make the jewels? i also need to make some diamond jewels for a 60th anniversary cake.
