... so my son lives in Indianapolis. When I knew DH and I were going to visit, I pm'd Indydebi to ask if I could meet her. I was thrilled at her response, a resounding yes! When DH and I arrived, we met with one of the most gracious, humerous, down-to-earth people you will ever find. Truth be told, I expected no less from Indydebi, who so willingly blesses us with her no nonsense approach to caking. She's actually a standup commedian in disquise. LOL Debi gave us the grand tour of her bakery, she was so open and forthcoming. I would have freaked out at the thought of such a tour at my humble little lean-to. She never batted an eye. I search the site for her posts, knowing that I will be LMBO or taking notes if not both. We so enjoyed our visit. Debi's openess and genuiness went a long way to make our trip to INDY a great one. Thanks Indydebi.

wow you are so lucky.

It must have been like meeting a movie star! icon_wink.gif

I've often thought if I went to Indi land, I'd try to organize something.

You're right, when I see her posts, I know I'm in for something good.

More details please....................

The "gracious and humorous" was a 2-way street! The 2 of them together are a fun couple! I could have spent the whole day with them. I was so sorry they had to leave & was very grateful they carved some time out of their precious time with their son!

Oooh, I like the idea of "Indyland"... there would be lots of happy cakes, music, some clever characters walking around (maybe a feminine version of Grumpy -he-he), A cute little jail for Bridezillas, clever signs posted around the place with IndyDebisms.. what rides would there be?
