Do I Refrigerate My Fully Decorated Cake?

So I made a cake today for my mother in law, well she got off work early, so now I have to wait to take it up to her until tomarrow. I have decorated it. It is buttercream with fondant accessories. Do I need to refrigerate overnight? Or can I cover it and leave it out? Its MMF if it makes a diff.
