Hi, I was inquiring how does one become an apprentice for a cake shop, I would like to have some more hands on training, just because,

You can start by calling and talking to bakeries in your area. Let them know that you would like to intern for them and you may find someone willing to let you work.

I think the best thin gto do is to send around your cake resume with a cover letter to larger bakeries in your area and let them know you are interested in an internship/apprentice position. I would leave off the "just because" part and instead tell them of your passion for caking and your interest in learning more from professionals.
