How do I get dark brown royal icing or buttercream? What color do I use? My brown only gets medium brown and I tried adding black to it and it is an awful color! I can't use it. Any suggestions?

I just did a grizzly bear and had the same problem so I ended up using the medium brown for the fur then airbrushing 'American Colors' brown for highlights. I found that I could make it as dark as I needed. Actually, the medium brown chocolate BC darkened a bit as it set up too.

Thanks jones5cm. I don't have an airbrush icon_sad.gif So instead of piping brown royal or bc, I used fondant for my "stems" What a pain, but it turned out ok.

I use Americolor Dark Brown and get a nice dark chocolate brown.
