anybody?? My mixer is too noisy and too close to my kids' room, so I can't use it at night and I don't want to have to take it out in the morning? Has anyone tried this - successfully or unsuccessfully, tell me your experience PLEASE!!

Sure! I do it that way all the time. Come to think of it...I don't think I've ever used a mixer for glace...

I made some for the first time last night, and I just used a regular table spoon. Never thought to use the mixer! I like to be able to know it "feels" right... Plus, wouldn't the mixer whip too much air into it? That would seem to defeat the purpose of glace, which is a smooth shiny finish, right? (Could be wrong, not a cookie expert...)

Anyway, you should be fine! icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks so much! My glace always dries smooth and shiny, I just know that RI must be done by machine so I wanted to make sure. I can sleep better now.
