I recently have had people ask me to deliver cakes and I was wondering how people go about that. Most of the cakes that I would be delivering are at least 2 hours away. Any information about delivering would be greatly appreciated! Is there a set rate that would decide what you would be charged? I'm so confused in that area!!! Thanks!!!

Yes. I dont' deliver sheet or anythingthat doesn't look like a wedding cake. I charge $1.25 per ROUND TRIP MILE based on mapquest AND i factor in the route (straight freeway? easy. Do I have to hit 27 back country roads? Premium rate!)

So a 2-hour away client, assuming 60 mph = 120 miles = 240 round trip miles x $1.25 = $300 delivery fee.

You'll be amazed how fast they'll change their mind about coming to get it!
