Hello,

I'm new to the cake world...I love baking and have gotten into decorating?
I have a cake that I made on Sunday Oct. 5, 2009 and decorated with butter cream icing.

My sister want me to save her a peice of the cake..she will not be back in town until Saturday coming. Can I freeze her a couple of slices of cake and for how long will it last? Will it still be fresh and what is the best way to defrost the slices.

Thanks Everyone icon_biggrin.gif [/size]

wrap each slice in saran wrap. then in freeze bag.. i just lay out to thaw at room temp.. i do this all the time. with cake left over at thanksgiving and christmas.. hth if is is 5-6 slices.. i wrap each seperate.. then in gallon freezer bag. lay out flat.. works great for me..
