I have been working "unofficially" from my house for a year or so. I started very slowly and mostly for friends and family. Now business is picking up and is coming from "outside orders." If it continues this way (and hopefully picks up more) and my clients are not just family and friends, I want to make the business legitimate. I have not called the CT Dept. of Consumer Protection yet, but I will soon to just get info. Has anyone already done this? From what I read on the state web site, home bakeries are allowed... am I wrong? What do they look for in the inspection? Is there anything else that I should know?
