I just made my first batch of cake balls using Bakerella's recipe. They were wonderful! Now I want to try some other combinations. Since it's fall, I want to make pumpkin cake balls, but I can't think of what the shell should be (I don't think chocolate would compliment it well). I would like something with a cream cheese flavor, but I don't have the first idea how to flavor vanilla chips to get what I'm looking for. Anybody have any ideas?

I think just mixing cream cheese icing with a pumpkin or spice cake would be good. You can use real white chocolate and tint it orange with candy colors. I think this combo sounds delicious! thumbs_up.gif

I just made pumpkin cake balls and plan to cover then with orange candy melts and decorate them with a stem and leaves to look like pumpkins. I plan to put them on top of a chocolate cupcakes iced with chocolate buttercream and crushed oreos to look like dirt.
