Hi all.

I am posting this question for my BFF Wendy. The last few cakes where she has put Satin ice appliques on BC cake, over a few hours you can see the grease stains on the fondant where it is absorbed. This is absolutely a new development; we have been doing this for years without this happening.

Nothing in the BC recipe, process, or ingredients has changed. No chilling involved. Nothing has changed on our end.

Ant body else experiencing this?

Sorry I'm no help!!!! Just interested to see what is commented...I did a fondant decos-on-buttercream cake several weeks ago and noticed nothing like that...and the buttercream I used was even a high fat content noncrusting buttercream. And Satin Ice.

That's so strange!
