Why Is My Fondant Doing This (See Picture)

I had so much trouble with this pink fondant- maybe because of all the color I added. Look closely at the corners and edges where there are these tiny fissures and cracks. The fondant was definitely not too dry which is what I thought caused tearing- so I don't know what caused it this time. Help me please so this doesn't happen again.

This usually happens when the fondant is too dry or too cold.

Sometimes it happens when you have to add a lot of color. It's more common with black or red than with pink. One way to get around it is to add the color to the mixture before you add the powdered sugar. Of course then you end up with a whole batch of the same color.
