I just noticed a new category under the dusts when I go to CountryKitchensa.com called crystal colors? What are these similar to?

TIA

As I understand them, they are FDA approved. It's really just the brand name. They then have pearl, dust, etc... THey are the only dusts I have.

They are 100% FDA-approved food colors, as opposed to petal dusts, which can contain talc and mica, among other ingredients.

Someone here said the colors are truer and you use less of this kind so it lasts longer. I am definetly going to try them the next time I need a petal dust.

Crystal colors are all I used and this new FDA approved dust (forgot the name). I also use Platinum dusts. They are the same as petal dust and luster dust is the same as the Crystalllized ones. They do come a long long way.
