Hi all ... I have a question I hope someone can help answer.

I've made a PoolParty themed cake and want to use blue tinted piping gel spread over fondant for the water. I have molded fondant characters and brightly colored pool toys that I want to put in the "water".

My question is: Do I have to wait for the piping gel to dry first (if so, how long?) before putting the fontant stuff I've made? (ie. will the piping gel ruin any of my characters?)

Hope someone can help. icon_confused.gif

Piping gel does not dry. It will remain the consistancy you have now. You can put your fondant items in now.
