I know that fillings w/perishable ingredients should be refrigerated but how long could a decorated cake w/the filling be let out during serving??
I'm considering making a cake w/a heavy cream based filling for a pool party. The cake will be kept indoors however, they have informed me that it will probably be there during most of the party so people can eat as they please. Should this be ok?? Thanks!

If the house is kept really cool, it'd probably be ok.. but you may recommend they stick it back in the fridge in intervals to make sure it stays cool .. just a suggestion icon_smile.gif
