I have a cake coming up which is a 1/4 sheet cake with the military police pistols on top. I'm not quite sure how to go about doing the pistols. The customer is not particular about the design at all -- her only request is the pistols on top. My original plan was to do flat fondant cut-outs and lay them on the cake, but then I started thinking about doing the pistols in 3D out of fondant/gumpaste. I'm sure there are lots of great ideas out there that I haven't thought of, so any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for any help!
