Hi all... Can you tell me how to make the cute number cake toppers? I'm making a cake for a 13 year old in a couple of weeks and want to do that for her cake. I can figure out how to do the numbers themselves, but what do you put on the bottom for it to stick into the cake and stand up straight?

Thanks in advance!

I either build mine on a dowel or make the numbers ahead and "glue" them to a dowel later w/ white chocolate.

I like to make them and immediately insert lollipop sticks. If they are big and heavy, dowels would be better.

Hope this helps! thumbs_up.gif

I do what the others have mentioned. Sometimes, I attach a thin tall candle behind them also with candy melts.

I use thin medium barbecue sticks inserted immediately I cut out the numbers then I lie them flat to dry before inserting on the cake.

Thanks all. That's kind of what I figured, but wanted to make sure. icon_smile.gif
