I can't afford or justify the cost of renting a commercial kitchen at this time. They cost about $25 per hour, and I will not be able to finish an entire cake fast enough to make a little money while still paying this hourly cost.

So, if I want to make my cakes I'm looking for other avenues. If you didn't rent a commercial kitchen, where did you go? What other places will have licensed kitchens? Do schools? Do churches? Where?

for sure check out the churches and if you have a community center/senior citizen center. they usually have kitchens that are used occasionally and will usually rent them out for a decent price.
