How do you make buttons for a baby shower cake? I am making a baby shower cake in December so I want to practice making the buttons so they are as perfect as i can make them.

There is a baby button chocolate mold on cakesnthings.com. Actually, I think there is a large and a small, and maybe even a lollipop size, too. You can make chocolate buttons, and I think you can use the mold for fondant, too.

just small ball of fondant, use the end of a dowel and push in the center and use a tooth pick to make the holes

What I did was roll and cut out rounds using the next size down cutter or even diffrent size tips if you don't have cutters to make a light dent around the edge then use the #4 or 5 tip for the holes of the buttons you can do fondant or buttercream etc for your threads... Very easy you can make a bunch at one time.
