I'm going to make a 14" round cake and have never attempted anything this big before. I purchased a flower nail to use in the center, but after doing some searching I'm seeing that some people suggest using "more than one", I'm wondering how many I should use? Thanks in advance!

I just use 1.

Make sure you've got a cooling grid or baking sheet big enough to turn the cake out onto to cool...the first time I did a 14" I realized it was bigger than my cooling grids.

I've only used one for this size as well. In fact, the only time I've upped the anty is for a 12x18 rectangle. I used to be so scared of the big ones - now I think they are a breeze. But, like Texas said - make sure your cooling rack is big enough.
