Hello all, I am new to this caking making and my Sister In Law wants me to make a circus Cake for my nephews 1st birthday. I took a look at some of the pictures and they all look fantastic. I am hoping someone has insturctions on how to make the Fondant, or Gum paste animals. I have no idea of where to start and any help with this would be so appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

Jennifer

Hello!

Here are some instructions for Jungle animals - but I figure thats what kind of animals are in the circus anyway! icon_smile.gif

Hope this helps - you can also go to the search page & type in Circus or Jungle or even Animal & get some more info.

Another idea, if you don't feel comfortable with the fondant/gumpaste is to make decorated sugar cookies in the animal shapes. You can find animal cutters at http://www.foosecookiecuters.com/store/ and at http://www.fancyflours.com.

Hey
I don't know if there is a Micheal's Craft store in your area but we have one and there are always 40% off coupon on the internet. They have Wilton Animal cookie cutter and you can get 50 cutter for about 6 dollars with coupon. They are the cheapest I have found anywhere.
