So far our white cakes are not cutting well. We did a wedding cake this weekend and the chocolate cut like a dream, but the white cake wants to crumble and fall apart. This one was the durable white cake. Anyone have a recipe that cuts well and won't crumble? We prefer to start from a mix and add to that. Thanks!

The WASC cake is great White Almond Sour Cream

I use a recipe I found on designmeacake.com from Edna a CC member here.

you could also search the recipes here on cc and I am sure you will find it too.

Edna's recipe starts from a white mix that you doctor and it is great!

I second Kakeladi's original WASC recipe. I baked it the other night, using extra vanilla, no almond, and it turned out great. Sturdy but light.

I also like Kakeladi's Original WASC recipe.
